Questions to Ask During a Job Interview
At some point in your job interview, the interviewer will ask if you have any questions. Since an interview is a two-way street, you should take advantage of that opportunity. Thus, it is always a good idea to prepare inquiries in advance. If you do not ask any questions, the interviewer may view you as someone without any independent thought process. It might also give the interviewer the impression that you are just “riding the waves” so that you can get the job.
Another important reminder is not to ask questions that are answered on the company’s website or in any literature provided by the prospective employer. If you do, the interviewer may infer that you have not prepared for the interview and that you are wasting his time by asking him questions which you supposedly already know the answers to.
Finally, do not ask about the company’s salary and benefits until the interviewer raises these issues. In addition, make a mental tally of the questions you were supposed to ask but were answered during the course of the interview.
